Plus la pureté est élevée, meilleure est la résistance à la corrosion, mainly because pure aluminum acts with oxygen in the air to produce a very thin layer of dense natural oxide film on the surface of aluminum, which is faster and much thicker than other metal oxide films generated, thus preventing further corrosion by harmful gases and moisture in the air and playing a protective role.
The mechanical strength of aluminum sheet is high, but the corrosion resistance is low. Although the corrosion resistance of pure aluminum is good, but the mechanical strength is poor, which to a certain extent restricts the application of aluminum, for this reason, people add the right amount of magnesium, cuivre, zinc and other metals in aluminum to make various types of aluminum alloys, so that the mechanical strength of aluminum is greatly improved, and the application range is greatly expanded, but the corrosion resistance is worse than pure aluminum, so there is a possibility of corrosion due to oxidation. This requires powder coating to protect the aluminum alloy profile.
In addition to high corrosion resistance, the aluminum sheet powder coated also has many advantages, such as diversified colors and good surface texture, which can be echoed with various colors of building exterior paint to adapt to different building styles.
